Market Eyes Live Signal Picks, composite scoring outputs, and market regime indicators are provided for educational and informational purposes only. The following applies in full:
Every ticker is evaluated against an 8-component composite scoring model that combines: (1) Valuation — trailing and forward P/E, PEG, EV/EBITDA, free-cash-flow yield; (2) Quality — gross margin, operating margin, return on equity, and debt-to-equity; (3) Momentum — price action relative to 50-day and 200-day moving averages, distance from 52-week high/low, volume ratio; (4) Sentiment — analyst consensus, target price upside, short interest; (5) Earnings — recent EPS beats, surprise magnitude, guidance trajectory; (6) Risk — volatility regime, sector concentration, VIX environment; (7) Theme — sector tailwind classification; (8) Catalyst — upcoming earnings, FDA milestones, macro events. Components are weighted differently for mature versus speculative profiles. The composite output (0–100) is mapped to color-coded labels: Highest Conviction, Runner!, Very Promising, Promising, Hold, Unfavorable, plus speculative tiers (Rising Star, Catalyst Watch).
The market regime indicator (presented as Calm Bull, Caution, Risk-Off, or Cautious Tape) is computed by a triple-layer detector designed to require multi-source confirmation before any defensive action is taken. Layer 1 (Macro) reads VIX absolute level, VIX 30-minute velocity, VIX9D-versus-VIX backwardation premium, and SPY trend versus 50/200-day moving averages. Layer 2 (Tape) reads intraday breadth (percentage of widely-watched names trading red) and defensive-versus-growth sector rotation (consumer staples, utilities, healthcare versus technology, consumer discretionary). Layer 3 (Events) reads scheduled macro events within a 24-hour window (FOMC, CPI, NFP, PCE, GDP) and freshness-filtered macro news headlines from licensed sources.
Gating decisions follow strict confirmation rules: a single signal — even an extreme VIX print — never triggers any user-facing gating action. Risk-Off gating (which pauses new Enter Now suggestions and reduces suggested position sizing to 0.25x) requires Layer 1 firing AND Layer 2 confirming. Caution states (which reduce suggested position sizing to 0.5x without pausing Enter Now) can be triggered by partial signals plus tape confirmation, or by imminent high-impact events. Layer 1 alone (a VIX spike with calm tape) produces only a soft-warn pill with no gating — this is the engine's deliberate false-flag protection.
Equity and ETF pricing data are sourced from Yahoo Finance (free-tier API; subject to redistribution constraints) and Polygon.io / Massive (licensed). Fundamentals data are sourced from Polygon.io / Massive (primary, licensed) with Yahoo Finance fallback for debt-to-equity coverage. Earnings data are sourced from Finnhub (primary) and Alpha Vantage (fallback). Macro news is sourced from Finnhub and Yahoo Finance with an enforced freshness gate — per-article age must be 60 minutes or less before the article can confirm any regime signal. Data freshness, API quotas, and provider availability are outside Market Eyes Live's control and may degrade or interrupt scoring at any time.
Suggested entry zones, position sizes, target levels, and stop levels presented in the trade-plan UI are algorithmic outputs of the scoring engine, not personalized investment advice. Suggested position sizes are scaled automatically by the prevailing market regime — from 1.0x in normal regimes down to 0.5x during Caution and 0.25x during confirmed Risk-Off. Stop levels in elevated-volatility regimes are tightened by the same engine but are subject to a 5% floor so that normal intraday volatility does not produce false exits. None of these outputs account for individual financial circumstances, risk tolerance, tax situation, or investment objectives.
