Privacy Policy
We do not sell your personal data for money. We collect what is needed to operate and improve the Service, and it is first-party only - we do not share it with advertising partners for cross-app tracking. You can opt out of usage analytics at any time via the "Do Not Sell or Share" link below - the app works exactly the same either way.
1. Information We Collect
Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password (we never store passwords in plain text).
Subscription data: If you subscribe to Pro, we store your subscription status, plan type, and trial/renewal dates. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe — we do not store credit card numbers or payment details.
Usage & product analytics: To understand which features people use and improve the Service, we collect first-party product-analytics data: the features you interact with (for example rating a stock, adding to a watchlist, or placing a sim trade), screens viewed and time spent, session activity, your approximate location from your IP address (country and region only, never precise GPS unless you explicitly grant permission), device type and app version, and how you found us (referral or campaign source). This is first-party only: we do not use advertising SDKs and do not share this data with third parties for cross-app tracking. It is linked to your account when you are signed in, and collected anonymously before sign-up to measure how the Service is discovered.
Location: By default we only derive your approximate location (country and region) from your IP address. Precise device location is collected only if you separately grant the iOS location permission, and is used for regional product analytics, never for advertising.
AI API keys: If you use the BYOAI (Bring Your Own AI) feature, your API keys are stored only in your browser's sessionStorage. They are never transmitted to our servers, never logged, and are automatically deleted when you close your browser tab.
2. How We Use Your Information

- To send transactional emails (account confirmation, payment receipts, trial expiry reminders)

3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:
- Supabase — user authentication and database (supabase.com)
- Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com)
- Resend — transactional email delivery (resend.com)
- Netlify — website hosting and serverless functions (netlify.com)
- Yahoo Finance / FRED — market data providers (data only, no user data shared)
Each provider has their own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your account data is stored in Supabase's secure database infrastructure. We use row-level security (RLS) to ensure users can only access their own data. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.
We take reasonable measures to protect your information but cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users promptly.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data will be removed within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Opt out of non-essential communications

7. Cookies & Local Storage
We use minimal cookies necessary for authentication and session management, plus local storage on your device to remember settings such as your privacy choices. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on the website.
8. Your Privacy Choices (Do Not Sell or Share)
Some state privacy laws (like the California Consumer Privacy Act) treat certain analytics sharing as "selling or sharing" personal information. We do not use advertising SDKs or share data with ad partners today, but you can set your preference in advance or opt out of first-party usage analytics at any time:
- Use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information control (also linked from the app footer)
- We automatically honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out, no clicks needed
- In the European Union, United Kingdom, and Canada, usage analytics stay OFF until you explicitly allow them in the app
- Or email team@marketeyeslive.com and we will process the opt-out for you
9. Children's Privacy
Market Eyes Live is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify users of significant changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
