EQT is an independent natural gas production company focused on the cores of the Marcellus and Utica shales in the Appalachian Basin of the Eastern US. Its main customers are marketers, utilities, and industrial operators in the Appalachian Basin. It has three reportable segments, production, gathering, and transmission, the last now an operated joint venture with Blackstone. All operating revenue is generated in the US, mostly from the Marcellus Shale field and the sale of natural gas.
